The spring 2025 Milan Men's Fashion Week showcased a return to classic designs and refined leisure footwear, with handbag collections emphasizing functionality and the globe-trotting lifestyle of modern male customers.

Elevating Timeless Style and Sustainable Innovation

Santoni's Sleek Classics and Lightweight Innovations

Santoni's spring collection marked a sleek return to classics, showcasing the brand's expertise in leather coloring and construction. The unlined Carlo penny loafer in suede with a Goodyear reverse construction had a vintage-looking ombré effect, while the new Easy lineup featured lightweight traditional designs, including a sandy beige brogue derby weighing only half a pound. In the sneakers range, the DBS Oly Cube model stood out for its '70s tennis-shoe inspiration and tromp l'oeil double buckle motif.

Valextra's Conscious Approach to Luxury

Valextra's chief executive officer, Xavier Rougeaux, is on a mission to inject newness into the brand's legacy while respecting its codes. In sync with a conscious approach to business, the brand unveiled its first non-leather products using Econyl's regenerated nylon for a men's capsule collection called Valextra Assoluto, comprising a backpack, shopper, and fanny pack with black lacquered hardware. The brand also introduced a softer version of its signature Millepunte textured leather, allowing for practical versions of its Milano handbag, Babila tote, and V-line backpack without compromising on the brand's iconic details.

Church's Timeless Nautical-Inspired Loafer

The new Otford boat loafer from Church's took the spotlight, with its nautical inspiration, supple suede upper, and contrasting rubber sole making it the ultimate go-to style for transitioning from off-duty moments in the city to weekend getaways by the water. The timeless design was rendered in a sophisticated color palette of six different hues, ranging from tobacco and forest green to beige and navy.

Montblanc's Craftsmanship and Heritage Celebration

Montblanc's spring 2025 collection showcased the brand's craftsmanship and heritage across a wide selection of leather goods. Highlights included a new metal buckle inspired by the shape of the mountains seen on bags in the Meisterstück collection and the M Lock 4810 buckle that popped up on the Extreme 3.0 line of backpacks and travel bags. The brand also celebrated the 100th anniversary of its iconic Meisterstück pen and offered a glimpse of a Montblanc line of furniture, with a special desk designed by the brand's artistic director, Marco Tomasetta.

Testoni's Personalized Exotic Skin Footwear

Shoemaker Testoni, celebrating its 95th anniversary, continued to spotlight its signature designs and exotic skin footwear, which were the hero material for the brand's newly introduced made-to-order service. Customers at the brand's store on Milan's Via Gesù can now personalize signature designs with the leather of their choice, initials, and custom-colored hand stitching. The spring collection expanded the brand's footwear wardrobe, offering business options like sleek derby and monkstrap designs, as well as informal, half-lined loafers with tassels in suede.

Pollini's Revamped Leather Goods and Versatile Footwear

While shoes are Pollini's bread and butter, the brand's spring men's offering spotlighted the revamped leather goods category, with suede weekender bags in refined charcoal gray and tan shades, as well as a modern briefcase with padded lining for extra protection of digital devices. The collection was also offered in Bottalato, textured leather, and a waterproof and scratch-resistant coated canvas. On the footwear front, the range spanned from more formal wingtip derbies in vintage-looking leather to summery sandals, penny loafers, and a boat shoe-slip on hybrid with a white rubber sole.

Philippe Model's Signature Styles and Innovative Interpretations

Philippe Model's spring 2025 collection, designed by Tuomas Merikoski, included men's long and loose shorts, loose tailoring in swimsuit fabrics, and short blousons in voile and poplin. However, the core of the brand remains its shoes, with the return of the chukka style in the classic "Big Model" sabot and new interpretations of the signature sneakers, including a serpentine shield monogram, metallic flowers, and oversized versions of the shield logo.
