The campus will come alive with the return of the beloved Lunchtime Live! series and the captivating Strings on the Bay concert, offering a delightful blend of community, culinary delights, and world-class musical talent.

Elevate Your Lunch Hour with Lunchtime Live!

From 11:30 am to 1:00 pm ET, the Lunchtime Live! series will take center stage, featuring the talented local band, "Pickstop." This dynamic ensemble, comprising Brayden Mathias, Cameron Lee, Logan Veeser, Kayla Hamelin, and Logan Mathias, will fill the scenic courtyard between the Catherine Bonifas Building and the Student Services Building with their vibrant and captivating performance. Attendees can expect an unforgettable lunch hour filled with the infectious energy of live music.The Lunchtime Live! event is free and open to the public, providing an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the musical talents of "Pickstop." In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be moved indoors to the Bay Café in the Student Services Building, ensuring the show goes on regardless of the weather.

Indulge in Culinary Delights at the Taco Kitchen Food Truck

To complement the musical experience, the Taco Kitchen Food Truck will be serving an array of delectable tacos, burritos, and bowls from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm ET in Parking Lot E. Attendees can indulge in a variety of options, including vegetarian and vegan choices, ensuring there is something to satisfy every palate.

Strings on the Bay: An Evening of Jazz Sophistication

As the sun sets, the music continues with the second Strings on the Bay concert of the season, taking place at 7:00 pm ET in the Besse Theater. This captivating performance features the acclaimed jazz duo of Cliff Monear and Jeff Pedraz, presenting their show, "We Take Requests."Cliff Monear, a renowned jazz pianist and faculty member at Wayne State University, boasts an impressive resume that includes performances at venues worldwide, collaborating with renowned artists. Monear also serves as the leading sales consultant for Steinway & Sons in the Michigan and Ohio region, showcasing his expertise and passion for the art of piano.Joining Monear is Jeff Pedraz, a Philadelphia native and Detroit-area resident bassist and composer. Pedraz has toured with luminaries such as the Pat Martino Quintet, Jimmy Bruno Trio, and Terell Stafford Quintet, among others.
