Despite his success on the national stage, Olson's heart has always remained in Escanaba, a place he describes as "a very special" part of his life.

The idea for the Franklin School All-Stars was conceived by Chown, another local boy who has found success in the music industry. Chown recognized the wealth of musical talent that had emerged from the neighborhood around Franklin School, and he saw an opportunity to bring them all together for a homecoming celebration."Everybody in the band is either someone that still lives in the neighborhood around Franklin School or at one time, long ago, went to Franklin School," Chown explained. "They were all coming home for the holiday, and I thought a great thing to do would be to get them all together."

Olson noted that the town has seen a renewed energy and excitement around live music in recent years, with a push to bring the community together through shared musical experiences."Over the last few years, we've really seen a push to get everybody together and there's a new energy and a new excitement around live music in town," Olson said. "So, it's really fun to be a part of that."Chown echoed these sentiments, expressing his appreciation for the audience's enthusiasm for live music. "It's been amazing to see how appreciative the audiences are of live music, and I just feel it's what I can contribute to life in Escanaba," he said.
