Cider-Cheese Fondue
Ingredients

1 clove garlic, halved

1 12 ounce bottle dry hard cider or 1 1/2 cups apple cider

2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

8 ounce Swiss cheese, shredded (2 cups)

8 ounce Gruyére cheese, shredded (2 cups)

8 ounce sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups)

2 tablespoon cornstarch

Assorted Dippers
Directions

Rub garlic on bottom and sides of a heavy 4- to 5-qt. pot; discard garlic.

Add cider and hot pepper sauce to pot; bring to a simmer over medium. In a large bowl toss cheeses with cornstarch; add to cider a small handful at a time, whisking constantly until melted before adding more.

Transfer to fondue pot and serve with dippers. Serves 8.
